Jimmie Lee Lester age 57 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, June 21, 2013 at his home.
Jimmie was born in Galax, Virginia on March 20, 1956 to Halsey and Hattie Marshall Lester.
He is survived by his daughter Chandra Billings of Galax, Virginia; son Tyler Lester of Woodlawn, Virginia; grandchildren Caleb Billings; Gage Billings and Tiffani Ross; sisters and brothers-in-law Patricia and Alan Widner of Fries, Virginia; Tammy and Denny Lawrence of Galax, Virginia; brother Ricky Lester of Galax, Virginia; step son Samuel Gregory of Dublin, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; and special friend Christy Rotenberry. Also surviving is his special canine friend, Zelda.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, June 23, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Ronnie Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
