Jimmie Dean Donithan age 70 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, December 31, 2018 in the Galax Health and Rehab Center.

Jimmie was born in Grayson County, Virginia on May 2, 1948 to James and Helen Leonard Donithan. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by two brothers Jerry Wayne Donithan and Jeffrey Ray Donithan.

He is survived by his wife Anna Primm Donithan of Galax, Virginia; daughter Crystal Dawn Burress of Galax, Virginia; son Shannon Dean Donithan; mother Helen Leonard Donithan of Galax, Virginia; three grandchildren Kelsie Burress; Reece Donithan; Colton Elder; sisters and brothers-in-law Patricia and Wayne C. "Peco'' Watson; Linda Donithan; Nancy and Bud Swiney; Donna and Tim Jennings all of  Galax, Virginia;  brother and sister-in-law  David and Nona Donithan of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 12:30 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Don Fox, Rev. Harold Boyd and Rev. Ron Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
