Jewell Edwards Lineberry age 88 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.

Mrs. Lineberry was born on September 12, 1927 in Carroll County, Virginia to James H. and Joanna Pierce Ogle Edwards. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Guy Warren Lineberry, Sr.; daughter Joanna Belle Lineberry; granddaughter Angela Jane Owens; five sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Jean and Jeff Shaffner; Judith Lineberry all of Galax, Virginia; Teresa and Dennis Owens of Independence, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law G.W. and Brenda M. Lineberry of Dobson, North Carolina; Randy and Brenda R. Lineberry of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; grandchildren and spouses Steven and Jana Shaffner; Shannon and Todd Wilson; Chad Owens; Sara and Johnathan Halsey; step-granddaughter and husband Melody and Drew Pylant; four great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Kate Angle of Roanoke, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, November 29, 2015 at 3:00 PM in the Calvary Church of Christ with Pastor Johnny Young and Carroll Sumner officiating. Burial will follow in the Felts Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Calvary Church of Christ.
