Jewell F. Jones' Obituary
Jewell F. Jones age 87 of Kernsersville, N.C. and formerly of Fries, Va. passed away Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Britthaven Nursing Home.
Miss Jones was born in Carroll County, Virginia on October 17, 1921 to Robert Josh & Kate M. Jones. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters Mildred Louise Lawson and Erma Shupe.
She is survived by a sister Iris Hope Collins of Ivanhoe, Va.; brother & sister-in-law R.J. & Elizabeth Jones of Kernersville, N.C.; niece Sandra Atkins; nephews & spouses Larry & Susan Shupe; Wade & Barbara Lawson; several great-nieces & nephews; special friends Joyce Blevins and Edna Shepherd.
The funeral service will be Sunday, August 16, 2009 at 2:00 PM in Mt. Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Ken Blevins officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:30 until 8:00 at Mt. Hope United Methodist Church.
