Jewell Hope Williams Carico age 89 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday July 18, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Carico was born on February 9, 1933 in Galax, Virginia to Henery Lester and Ima Pearl Dotson Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Oakley Evart Carico; son John Carico; brothers Harold Williams and Nelson Williams.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Janet and Steve Wade; Velvet Jennings all of Galax, Virginia; Patricia and Tom Bratton Lebanon, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law Randall and Sharon Carico; Alan Carico all of Galax, Virginia; Jeff Carico of Woodlawn, Virginia; daughter-in-law Karen Carico of Galax, Virginia; fourteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM in the McKenzie Cemetery with Pastor Jackie Poe officiating. There will be no visitation.
