Jewel Marlene Ring Jennings age 74 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, December 3, 2012 in the Forsyth Medical Center.
Mrs. Jennings was born in Carroll County, Virginia on May 2, 1938 to Fred and Nellie Hanks Ring.
She is survived by her husband Richard Jennings of Galax, Virginia; daughters and son-in-law Kathy and Sanford Dalton of Woodlawn, Virginia; Jeana Jennings of Thomasville, North Carolina; Mylinda Jennings of Galax, Virginia; brothers Mac Ring and Lee Ring both of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Bobby Jo Hill, Ronnie Price, Jr. and Shon Carico; two great-granddaughters; one step-granddaughter Sasha Bobbitt; one step-great-grandson; two step-great-granddaughters; several nieces and nephews; special nurse Casandra.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Trish Johnson and Pastor Billy Redd officiating. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
