Jessie Mae Wingate age 89 of Galax, Virginia passed away Sunday October 15, 2006 in Waddell Nursing Home. She was born in Colorado on February 28, 1917 to the late Jessie & Mabel Smith Holland. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Vilas M. Wingate. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Thomas & Marilyn Smith of Seattle, Washington; brother and sister-in-law Mark & Valerie Holland of Squim, Washington; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 22, 2006 at 2:00 PM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Elder Austin Goodwin and Pastor Daniel Royo officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Mausoleum. The family will receive friends Sunday from one until service time at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
