Jessie Keister Roberts, age 89, of Galax, VA died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA.

Mrs. Roberts was born Oct. 04, 1921 in Carroll County, Virginia to Lawrence & Mary Ann Andrews Farmer. She is the widow of Harold O. Roberts.

Surviving are the following:
daughter & son-in-law, Gaye & Don Taylor, Mt. Airy, NC; son & daughter-in-law, Jimmy & Sandy Roberts, Woodlawn, VA; grandson, Don Taylor, Jr., Mt. Airy, NC; great-grandson, Tyler Taylor, Mt. Airy, NC; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Veda and Hawthorne Robinson, Woodlawn, VA; several nieces and nephews and many special friends.

The funeral service will be held, Monday, July 4, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, VA. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time for the funeral service on Monday. Roger Redd and Billy Redd will be the officiating ministers.
