Jessie Grace Cooley's Obituary
Jessie Grace Cox Cooley age 97 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013 in the Waddell Nursing Home.
Mrs. Cooley was born in Carroll County, Virginia on December 15, 1915 to Dan and Dona Golden Cox. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James H. Cooley; oldest son John Mack Cooley and youngest son Dickey LaRue Cooley.
She is survived by her daughter Darlene Golden Cooley of Conway, South Carolina; son and daughter-in-law Joe and Gayle Cooley of Galax, Virginia; daughter-in-law Edna Cooley of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Missy Cooley; Jana Cooley Scott and Monica Cooley Alderman; great-grandchildren Cody Tyler Snow; Karen Scott; Beth Scott; Daniel Scott; Alyssa Scott and Ella Kate Alderman.
A memorial service will be held Monday, February 11, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the Coal Creek Community Church with Rev. Nathan Crowe and Rev. Joe Carrico officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 10:00 AM until time for the service at the church. Burial will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Mt. Valley Hospice, 1477 Carrollton Pike, Hillsville, Virginia 24343
