Jesse Mac Whitaker's Obituary
Jesse Mac Whitaker age 72 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, October 1,2010 at Grayson Nursing and Reh Center.
Mr. Whitaker was born in Sparta, North Carolina on September 24, 1938 to Arthur and Ada Delp Whitaker. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers Jerald Whitaker and James Frank Whitaker.
He is survived by a son Jim Whitaker of Galax, Virginia; daughter Lisa Whitaker Goins of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; grandchildren Jamie Whitaker; Jacob Goins and Hannah Goins; great-grandsons Jaeton Whitaker and Jamin Whitaker; brothers Jerry Whitaker, Gene Whitaker and Joe Whitaker all of Galax, Virginia; sisters Jeraleen Sizemore of Woodlawn, Virginia; Judy Pearman of Galax, Virginia; Janet Hill of Walnut Cove, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, October 3,2010 at 2:00 PM at Monta Vista Cemetery with Rev. Sam Holder officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
