Jesse Harold Stroupe age 67 of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at his home.

Jesse was born on October 25, 1951 in Surry County, North Carolina to William "Bill" Austin and Iva Jean Todd Stroupe. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Poole and two brothers Kenneth Stroupe and Ronny Stroupe.

He was a Retired Veteran of the US Army.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law William Ronald "Ronny" and Monica Stroupe of San Antonio, Texas; two grandsons Jacob and Jordan; one sister Sandra Gabriel of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Tuesday at 4:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with the Rev. Richard Gregory officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 3:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
