Jerry Lee Ralph Watson age 73 of Galax, Virginia passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 in the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, North Carolina.

Jerry was born in Grayson County, Virginia on March 13, 1944 to Raby Clarence and Willie Sue Akers Watson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Jeffrey Lee Watson.

He is survived by his wife Linda Watson of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Brad and Bobbie Jo Watson of Woodlawn, Virginia; grandchildren Jeffrey "Luke" Watson and Lily Paige Watson; sisters Lois Vaughan of Galax, Virginia; Bonita Jones of Roanoke, Virginia; Jackie Whitney of Northboro, MA; brothers and sisters-in-law Curt Watson; Randy and Linda Watson all of Fries, Virginia; Thomas "Tom" and Sue Watson; Wayne "Peco" and Pat Watson all of Galax, Virginia; Travis "Chip" and Della Watson of Independence, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Coal Creek Community Church with Pastor Randy Bledsoe, Pastor Jeff Pickett and Pastor Don Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Coal Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening (November 10th) from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
