Jerry Thomas McKenzie age 64 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday evening in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.

Jerry was born in Grayson County, Virginia on May 28, 1956 to James Leroy (Roy) and   Ruby Estel Frazier McKenzie.

He is survived by two sisters Agnes McKenzie and Virginia (Jennie) McKenzie; brother and sister-in-law Garnett and Hazel McKenzie; sister-in-law Katheryn Byrd McKenzie all of Galax, Virginia; nieces and spouses Pippa Gene Smith; Amanda and Brad Prosser; Donna McKenzie; Lucinda and Jimmy Carrico; Kay and Gary Ramey; nephew and spouse Timmy and Peggy McKenzie; thirteen great- nieces and great-nephews; fifteen great-great nieces and great-great-nephews; special family members Doreen Dolinger; John Paul Weatherman; Tim Bottomley; Floyd Bryant; Aster Lowe; Treasa Banks and Brother John Senitch; a host of cousins and friends.

A memorial graveside service will be held Saturday at 10:00 AM in the McKenzie Cemetery with the Rev. Randy Morris and Pastor John Senitch officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
