Jerry Beamer Limer of Galax, the widow of Edmond W. Limer, Jr. passed away on July 12, 2016 at her home. Born in Surry County North Carolina on February 23, 1935, she was the daughter of the late George Boston and Alpha Nuckolls Beamer.

She was a lifelong Democrat and a member of the Protestant Faith.

The deceased is survived by a son, Edmond W. Limer, III of Chapel Hill, North Carolina and a daughter Julia L. Roberts and spouse, Gray Roberts, Jr. also of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Grandchildren include a granddaughter, Katheryn Limer Upshaw of Savannah, Georgia; and a grandson Gray Roberts, III of Chapel Hill, NC ; and great grandson Mason Thomas Upshaw. She is also survived by one brother William Alexander Beamer and his spouse Diane of Galax, VA; two aunts, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 PM until 1:30 PM at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. The graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM by Rev. Ted Bartlett at the Nuckolls Community Cemetery. The family will assist with transportation up the hill to the cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the local SPCA or to any environment or animal advocacy group of the donor's choice.
