Jerry Michael Lawson, 55, of Woodlawn, Virginia, passed away Friday January 9, 2009 at the Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA
Jerry was born September 14, 1953 in Galax, Virginia to Mason Ray Lawson and Katheryn Frost Lawson. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Mason Ray Lawson and brother Mark Steven Lawson.
Surviving are his wife: Wanda Gail Lawson of the home and son Jody Michael Lawson of Woodlawn, his mother Katheryn Frost Lawson of Galax, and two brothers and a sister-in-law: John & Angie Lawson and Douglas Lawson all of Galax.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, January 11, 2009 from 12 noon until time for the funeral service at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel. Carroll Lineberry and Wayne Bailey will officiate. Interment will follow in the Lineberry Cemetery in Woodlawn, VA.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gambetta Church of Christ, c/o Carroll Lineberry, 533 Mallard Drive, Galax, VA 24333
