Jerry Thomas Byrd age 65 of Fries, Virginia passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2025  in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.

Jerry was born on October 10, 1959 in Galax, Virginia to Earnest and Goldie Miller Byrd.

He is survived by his children and spouses Bethann Plumer of Hagerstown, Maryland; William and Thelma Von Alt of Savannah, Georgia; Travis and Estefania Byrd of Orlando, Florida; sisters Ellen Brannock and Nellie Davis both of Galax, Virginia; eleven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Monday at 2:00 PM in the Ebenezer United Methodist Church with Pastor Rodney Christman officiating. Burial will  follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
