Jerry Lee Bond age 78 of Fries, Virginia passed away Friday, December 1, 2017 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mr. Bond was born in Grayson County,Virginia on May 27, 1939 to Earnest Lee and Clarice Smith Bond. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son Danny Joe Bond and sister Linda Bond Byrd.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Kippy Bond of Fries, Virginia; daughter and fiance' Mary Beth Bond and Eddie Carico of Galax, Virginia; two grandchildren and spouses Ryan and Keena Vuurmans; Kasey and Andres Mendoza all of Fries, Virginia; three great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law Shirley Griffin; Helen and Roger Lyons all of Fries, Virginia; Darlene Rowland of Glade Springs; brother and sister-in-law Junior and Billie Bond of Fries, Virginia; brothers-in-law and spouse Charles Byrd of Glade Springs; James (Jim) and Tamara Byrd of Lexington, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday, December 3, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church (Fries, Va.) with Pastor Sam Holder officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 2:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the church.
