Jerry Lee Blevins' Obituary
Jerry Lee Blevins known as Twelve String age 66 of Hillsville, Virginia passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
Twelve String was born on March 23 1949 in Wythe County, Virginia to William Homer and Mildred Hamilton Blevins. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Taylor Blevins and a step-son Jason Cutshall.
He is survived by his wife Sharon Blevins of Hillsville, Virginia; children Michael Blevins of Olympic, Washington; Stephen Blevins of Hillsville, Virginia; Melissa Blevins of Johnson City, Tennessee; Angel Blevins of Florida; step-son and wife William and Heather Cutshall of Morristown, Tennessee; sisters and brothers-in-law Patsy and Don Payne; Connie Rhone; Lori and Donald Hensley all of Galax, Virginia; Bertie and Tom Hughes of Harrisonburg, Virginia; brother and sister-in-law Sam and Linda Blevins of Galax, Virginia; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Thursday May 21 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Beech Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Woynal Smythers officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. The family will be at the home of Patsy Payne on the Old Fairview Road after the graveside service.
