Jerrell Dean Alley age 75 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at his home.

Jerrell was born in Galax, Virginia on February 22, 1950 to Anderson Sanford and Niriel Sawyers Alley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Linda Graham Alley and son Jesse Alley.

He was an active member of the Midway Baptist Church.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Johnny and Ashleigh Alley; brother and sister -in-law Clifton and Barbara Alley; sisters and brothers-in-law Sue and Kenneth Greene; Guyda and Johnny Melton; five grandchildren Jesse, Ashley (Caleb Overman); Jordan, Johanna and Jase ; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm in the Alley Cemetery with Pastor Myron Dalton officiating. There will be no visitation.
