Jennifer Renee Payne Sumner age 46 of Galax, Virginia passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2025 in the Grayson Nursing and Rehab Center.

Jennifer was born in Galax, Virginia on July 13, 1978 to Charles Freddie and Kathy Ann Landreth Payne. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her grandmothers Helen Whitaker and Goldie Payne.

She is survived by her father Freddie Payne of Galax Virginia; sister and brother-in-law Kasie and Kevin Stanley of High Point, North Carolina; one nephew Cody Stanley; many cousins; several nieces and nephews and special friend Renee Davis.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 3:00 PM in the Camp Zion Cemetery with Pastor Rodney Christman officiating. The family will receive friends Monday at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until time to go to the cemetery.
