Jeffery "Jeff" Thomas Sexton, 55, of Woodlawn, Va passed away on August 13,2024 at New River Valley Medical Center.

Jeff was born in Galax, Va to Jimmy and Brenda Sexton on October 11, 1968. Jeff was preceded in death by his parents and two aunts.

Jeff dedicated his life to serving others by volunteering on Hillsville Rescue Squad, Laurel Rescue Squad and Carroll County Search and Rescue until becoming sick. He enjoyed talking on CB radio andamateur radio. He was a member of Briar Patch Amateur Radio club. He loved his family to the fullest and cherished his grandchildren (Kaiden, Sophia "Bobbitt Girl", Levi, and Zaiden).

He is survived by his loving and caring wife Lori McRoberts Sexton; two sons Kevin Sexton (Taresa) of Fries, Va and Matthew Sexton of Woodlawn, Va.; daughter Samantha Sexton, of Woodlawn, Va. Four grandchildren Kayden Sexton, Sophia Largen, Levi Sexton, and Zaiden Sexton. Sister Sylvia Frost (Chris) of Galax, Va.; brothers Michael Sexton, of Woodlawn, Va Randy Sexton (Pam) of Leesburg, Ga and Joshua Sexton of Wytheville,Va.; an uncle Jim Goodson (Jamie), of  North Carolina.; several nieces and nephews; father-in-law and mother-in-law Loren and Debbie McRoberts of Fries, Virginia. He also  leaves behind his fur baby German Shepherd Luna. . .

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Jeff Pickett officiating. Burial will follow in the Camp Zion Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
