Jeffery Darrell Melton, age 44, Fancy Gap, VA died Dec. 19, 2015, at his home.
Mr. Melton was born Oct. 3, 1971 in Alleghany County, NC to Bobby Ray
and Anna Lee Bobbitt Melton.
He is survived by his father of Independence, VA and his mother of Fancy Gap, VA; daughter, Cassandra Peckham, South Jordan, Utah; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donnie & Paula Melton, Galax, VA, Richie & Heather Melton, Fancy Gap, VA; Nephews, Nicholas Melton, Joseph Stone; nieces, Allison Paige Melton and Tiffany Ann Melton; several aunts & uncles and many special friends.
The funeral service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the First Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church on Monday. Officiating ministers will be the Rev. Angie Lineberry and the Rev. Jeff Pickett.
