Jeffery Johnny Bowers age 57 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at his home.
Jeffery was born in Galax, Virginia on April 12, 1960 to Samuel Jefferson and Kitty Sue Livesay Bowers.
In addition to his mother Kitty Sue Bowers of Galax, Virginia, he is survived by his wife Julia Bowers; daughter Kristen Bowers Mayes all of Galax, Virginia; step-children London Newman; Joshua Newman and Keaton Newman;five grandchildren Noah Edwards; Jolie Edwards; Trenton Newman; Jordyn Newman and Harmony Newman; sister and brother-in-law Debbie and Greg Edwards of Dublin, Virginia; brother Michael Bowers of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Friday, January 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Elkhorn Baptist Church with the Rev. Eddie Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in a family plot near the home at 4048 Glendale Road, Galax, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Elkhorn Baptist Church, Mallory Road, Galax, Virginia 24333 to assist the family with burial expenses.
