Jeanette Gail Blevins Hamby, 68, of Galax passed away Saturday, May 26, 2012 in the Grayson Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Independence, VA. Mrs. Hamby was born August 1, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland to the late Fred & Thelma Fayne Blevins.

Mrs. Hamby is survived by two sons & one daughter in law: Todd & Kelly Hamby and Danny Hamby all of Galax; two brothers and one sister-in-law: Ken & Linda Blevins of Raleigh, North Carolina and Timmy Blevins of Galax; one grandson Tanner Hamby and granddaughter Kara Hamby; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 2, 2012 at 2:30 PM in the Oakland United Methodist Church with Pastor Ronny Harrison officiating. There will be no visitation. Inurnment will be in the Oakland Cemetery.
