JE Ward age 87 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, January 13, 2025  in the Galax Health and Rehab Center.

Mr. Ward was born on March 25, 1937 in Galax, Virginia to T.B. and Izora Ward. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Burchette Ward and an infant son.

He is survived by his daughters Bonnie Walker; Tammy Bare (Donald); Sena Ward; Edna Taylor (Todd Bond); five grandchildren Johnny Taylor; Josh Griffin (Deserie); Cendy Bare; Tonya Caudill (Greg); Jacob Stevens;  six great-grandchildren Glenn Caudill; Bella Caudill; Jasper Caudill; Haley Taylor; Nolan Griffin; Elijah Taylor;  two great-great-grandchildren Braydon Bolen; Zayden Hezekiah Leming; brother Daniel Ward (Judy); several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM in the Pilgrims Rest Cemetery with Pastor J.R. Bowers officiating.  The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM at the Vaughan-Guynn Hone.
