JC Swanson Jones, Jr. known as Ikey Jones age 74 of Fries Virginia passed away Thursday, December 26, 2024 at his home.

Ikey was born on March 29, 1950 in Grayson County, Virginia to JC Swanson and Rosa Alluria Jones, Sr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Duran Scott Jones and a half-sister Aline.

He is survived by his wife Linda Jones of Fries, Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Craig Hoffman of Christiansburg, Virginia; daughter and fiance'  Regina Carico and  Whit Donithan;  grandchildren Noah Hoffman ;Adriana Hoffman; Isabella Marie Jones; Danica Raylen Carico; Ava Donithan; Adlyn Donithan and Westyn Donithan; sisters and brothers-in-law Rosalee and Thomas Blevins; Lillian Shaffner; Kathy and Cecil Ayers all of Fries, Virginia; Darlene Bryant of Galax, Virginia; Carol Carter of Independence, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Johnny and Janet Jones of Galax, Virginia; Mike and Brenda Jones; Bryan and Nancy Jones all of Fries, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Titus Anderson and Pastor Angie Lucas officiating. Burial will follow in the Fries Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
