Janie Elizabeth Young, age 90, of Fries, VA, passed away at her home on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008. She was born in Tazewell, VA, March 30, 1917, to William Samuel & Henrietta Woods Cochran and was the widow of Henry Young. Mrs. Young is survived by one daughter, Mattie Lillian Young, Fries, VA, one son & daughter-in-law, William (Turk)& Donna Young, Fries, one step-son, Thomas A. Young, Atlanta, GA; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lucille & Joe Esposito, and Yvonne Craggette, one brother & sister-in-law, Oscar & Jackie Cragette, all of Roanoke, VA. Six grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews survive. Funeral service will be held Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, with burial to follow in the Oldtown Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday
