Janice Carolyn Davis Patton age 76 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, January 7, 2018 in the Galax Health and Rehab Center.

Mrs. Patton was born in Fries, Virginia (Grayson County) on April 18, 1942 to Ira Benjamin and Mary Eileen Barton Davis. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert Clifton Patton and a son Robert Franklin Patton.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law Donna Kay Patton of Galax, Virginia; Janet Leigh and Bill Bunker of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; grandchildren and spouse Robert Brandon Patton of Galax, Virginia; Amanda Pauley and Robbie Carrico of Fries, Virginia; Dustin Clifton Patton of Galax, Virginia; step-grandson William Christopher Bunker of Ashville, North Carolina; great-grandchildren Matthew Rector; Zion Patton and Conner Patton; sister and brother-in-law Dianne and Johnny Dease of South Boston, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Patton donated her body to science and a memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Galax Health and Rehab Center with Mike Couch officiating.
