Janet Marie Williams Fields age 80 of the Baywood Community of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, July 29, 2014 in the Carilion Clinic New River Valley Medical Center.

Mrs. Williams was born on April 11, 1934 in Carroll County, Virginia to Donald Rufus and Ethel Hanks Williams.

She is survived by a daughter Sandy Duke of Willis, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Greg and Cathy Fields of Galax, Virginia; six grandchildren Randall Cox, Donald Cox, Travis Martin, Katlynd Fields, David Duke and Jeff Duke; three great-grandchildren Cameron Duke, Eli Duke and Emmie Duke.

The funeral service will be held Friday, August 1, 2014 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Bill Spurlin officiating.
Burial will follow in the Forest Oak Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
