Jane Scull Michelfelder of Hillsville, VA, went home to be with her Lord on November 7th, 2024.  She was 90 years of age.  Born November 26, 1933, Jane lived in NJ for the first half of her life. She met her husband Carl, the love of her life, at a dance. At 22 years old she married Carl and they spent most of their time on Earth always together.

Jane worked as an executive secretary for RCA for over 30 years. Religion was very important to her. She was a faithful member of the Marlton United Methodist Church for many years. Even though Jane never had children, she and Carl loved helping the children that came into their lives through family and friends. They sent many youth to a religious summer camp in the Poconos (IYPC) that Jane had attended when she was a teenager. Jane wanted to send the youth to the camp so they could grow in their faith with God. It made her very happy to hear stories of the youth that found God through attending the camp.

Jane also had a fondness for animals. She loved her pet dogs that she had over the years like they were her children.  Jane loved traveling. One trip that they took down south allowed them to stumble upon a quaint little town in Virginia. When Jane and Carl retired they decided to move to that town named Galax. Jane loved the area and the people of Galax. While living in Galax they became dedicated members of Hillcrest Baptist Church and they also volunteered for hospice.  After Carl died in 2019, Jane's life was never the same. A part of her was missing and she longed to join Carl in heaven. Jane spent her remaining years well cared for at Commonwealth Senior Living Center in Hillsville Virginia. On November 7, 2024 Jane went peacefully to her eternal home to be with her husband Carl. She will be missed dearly by family and friends.

A small graveside service was held on December 14, 2024 at Oakland Methodist Church Cemetery in Virginia.
