James Wayne Wilson age 76 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, March 8, 2008 in Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Wilson was born on November 22, 1931 in Surry County, N.C. to James Raymond & Alverta Edmonds Wilson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Ruby Sizemore Wilson and a brother Roy Wilson. He is survived by his wife Wanda Burnett Wilson; daughter & son-in-law Donnie Sue & William Douglas Edwards all of Galax, Va.; step-son & his wife Tommy Burnett, Sr.
& Sherlene Burnett of Greensboro,N.C.; sisters & brothers-in-law Carol & Gray Vaden of Lexington, N.C.; Jeanette & Steve Blanchard of Salisbury, N.C.; brother & sister-in-law, Fred & Alice Wilson, Lexington, NC sisters-in-law & their spouse Betty Wilson of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Doris & Bill Martin of Galax, Va.; Wilda Wilson of Columbia, S.C.; Barbara & Johnny McMasters of Trinity, N.C.; brothers-in-law and their spouse Gilmer & Ruth Sizemore; Roger & Loretta Wilson; Ohlen & Martha Wilson all of Galax, Va.; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Sunday, March 9, 2008 at 4:00 PM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Bill Ring and Pastor Garry Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Felts Memorial Cemetery. Moose Rites will be conducted by Galax Moose Lodge 733.The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from two until four at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Twin County Hospice.
