James Herbert Spurlin age 86 of Ennice, N.C. passed away Tuesday, April l, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Spurlin was born on June 12, 1921 in Grayson County, Va. to Grover Thomas & Luella Spurlin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lola Nell Blevins Spurlin. He is survived by his sons & daughters-in-law Larry & Sharon Spurlin of Cana, Va.; Bob & Betty Spurlin of Galax, Va.; Jack & Leisha Spurlin of Fries, Va.; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Thursday, April 3, 2008 at 11:00 am in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Elder Pete Hawks officiating. Burial will follow in Crab Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
