James J. Poe age 81 of Galax, Va. formerly of the Fallville Community in Spring Valley passed away Sunday, January 27, 2008 in Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Poe was born on June 11, 1926 in Grayson County, Va. to William Dean & Maude Vaughan Poe. He is survived by his wife Ann Hall Poe of Galax, Va.; brother & sister-in-law William Joe & Connie Poe of Greenwood Missouri; very special niece & her husband Sandra & Kyle Moretz of Galax, Va.; several nieces & nephews. Mr. Poe was a veteran of World War II and retired from the US Postal Service in Fries, Va. on June 29, 1991. A graveside service will be held Wednesday,January 30, 2008 at 11:00 am in Jerusalem United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gloria Lancaster Rhudy
