James Michael "Mike" Overby age 63 of Galax, Va. passed away Wednesday-April 2, 2008 at his home. Mike was born in Surry County, N.C. on October 24, 1944 to James W. & Pauline Spivey Overby. He is survived by a son & daughter-in-law Timothy & Debbie Overby of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Carolyn Overby of Galax, Va. and a special friend Nancy Kettner. The funeral service will be held Saturday, April 5,2008 at 11:00 am at Great Hope Baptist Chruch with Rev. Camet Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
