James Monroe Williams age 90 of Fries, Virginia passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Williams was born on December 27, 1923 in Grayson County, Virginia to Vance and Maggie Caudell Williams.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Brenda Williams Rose and Arlin of Chesterfield, Virginia; son Dennis Roberts of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Wesley and Karen Rose; Michael Rose; Rodney and Carrie Rose; Michaela Roberts and Trevor Roberts; great-grandchildren Lauren Rose; Daniel Rose; Branson Rose; Benjamin Rose; Austin Rose; Dylan Rose; Kyle Rose and Sydney Rose.
A graveside service was held Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Fries, Virginia with the Rev. John Williams officiating.
At the request of Mr. Williams the service was private.
