James Walter Miller's Obituary
James Walter Miller, age 84, of Fries, VA died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2010 in Twin County Regional Hospital, Galax, VA.
Mr. Miller was born in Carroll County, VA June 26, 1926. His parents were Frank and Gladys Burnett Miller.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Miller of the home; daughters & son-in-law, Pam & Jessie Shumate and Carolyn Martin, both of Galax, VA; brother, Dice Miller, Austinville, VA; sister, Ruth Ann Light, Bassett, VA; grandchildren, Jill & Sanford Lam & Chad Roberts; great-grandchildren, Justin Lam and Katie Lam; special caregivers at the Grayson Nursing Home and special friend and neighbor, Faye Snow.
The funeral service will be held in the Grace Baptist Church at 2:00 PM Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010. Burial will follow in the Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the funeral service, Tuesday, at the church. The Rev. Ben Haga and Pastor Faye Snow will be the officiating ministers.
