James Lee McDonald age 68 of Galax, Va. passed away Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the home of his daughter. Mr. McDonald was born in Guilford County, N.C. on October 4, 1940 to Jesse Robert & Rosa Phillips McDonald. He is survived by his children Christopher Mark McDonald, Tonya Denise Cole, Daniel Aaron McDonald all of Fries, Va.; sister Jeanette Barker of Reidsville, N.C.; two grandchildren, one niece, one nephew and two aunts. A graveside service will be held Friday, November 14, 2008 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Olivet Cemetery at Fries, Va. with Rev. Ken Blevins officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
