James Anderson Love, 88, passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Grayson Rehabilitation and Healthcare, Independence, Virginia. Mr. Love was born May 10, 1930 in Carroll County, Virginia to the late Emanuel Lee and Pearlie Quesenberry Love.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter Christina Hope Love.

Mr. Love proudly served his country in the U. S. Army.

He is survived by his wife Ethelene Burcham Love of the home; sons and daughters-in-law Edwin James and Lois Love of Galax, Virginia Wesley Duane and Anita Love of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Kevin Love; Christopher Love; Erick Love; Courtney Love; and Scarlett Hopkins; sisters Gladys Rudisill of Cana, Virginia; sisters-in-law Gladys Love of Hillsville; Hassie Love of Ararat, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service and burial will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Oakland Cemetery with Brother Garry Adams officiating.  There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
