James Lonnie Isom age 72 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, December 1, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Isom was born on October 22, 1940 in Galax, Virginia to Charles Henry and Sadie Chrisley Isom.
Mr. Isom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his children
James Matthew Isom of Danville, Virginia; Charolette Frazier & husband Clay of Fries, Virginia; David Isom, Anthony Scott Isom both of Galax, Virginia; Brittany Nicole Isom of Pulaski, Virginia; sisters and brothers-in-law Faye and Steve Semones of Galax, Virginia; Judy and Ronnie Sharp of Woodlawn, Virginia; Pam and Gary Hancock of Galax, Virginia; brothers and sisters-in-law Joe Isom of Fries, Virginia; Butch and Cathy Isom; Nick and Joan Isom all of Galax, Virginia; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; special friend Cinda Reynolds.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Richard Wall and Rev. Charles McPeak officiating. Burial will follow in the McKenzie Cemetery with Military Rites by the Hillsville VFW Post 1115. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from six until eight at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
