James Albert Litz, age 77, of Galax, Virginia passed away Friday May 19, 2023 in Forsyth Medical Center.

James was born on September 9, 1945 in Grayson County, Virginia to the late Ted and Hallie Gordon Litz.

He is survived by his wife Linda Sizemore Litz of Galax, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Eric James and Amy Litz of Galax, Virginia; sisters Sarah Draughn of Clemmons, North Carolina and Nancy Litz of Woodlawn, Virginia; brother Johnny Litz of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren Kandace and Christian Lavender, Hannah Hardy, and Reagan Litz; great grandson Conor Lavender; as well as several other nieces and nephews.

The graveside service will be held Tuesday May 23, 2023 at 2:00PM in the McKenzie Cemetery with Pastor Matthew Adams officiating with burial to follow. The family will receive friends from 12:30 PM until 1:30PM at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
