James Russell Lambert's Obituary
James Russell Lambert age 71 of Fries, Virginia passed away Thursday, July 27, 2017 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Jim was born on June 29, 1946 in Grayson County, Virginia to Douglas and Pearl Gilly Lambert. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Robbie Hawks.
He proudly served his country in the US Air Force.
He is survived by his wife Daisy Pearman Lambert of Fries, Virginia; sons and daughters-in-law Russ and India Lambert of Mt. Airy, North Carolina; Frank and Lori Hawks of Fries, Virginia; four grandchildren Dasia Lambert; Doug Lambert; Seth Hawks and Shae Hawks; several cousins also survive.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Gary Easter officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery with Military Rites by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 pm until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
