James Harold Jefferson's Obituary
James Harold Jefferson of Fries, Virginia passed away Friday, October 10, 2014 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mr. Jefferson was born in Grayson County, Virginia to John Oscar and Mary Lula Taylor Jefferson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother John Jefferson, Jr..
He proudly served in the U S Navy for four years. He lived thirty plus years between Greensboro, N.C. and Gibsonville, N.C. where he retired from Torque Elastics. He then moved back to his hometown Fries, Va. in 2002.
He is survived by his wife Maude Jefferson of Fries, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Millie and Rick; Dawn and Adrian; son James Jefferson and his fiance' Patricia; sister Dorothy Vaughan of Fries, Virginia; five step children; three grandchildren Jordan, Johnathan and Brandon; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Fries Baptist Church with the Rev. John Williams officiating. Military Rites will be conducted by the Grayson VFW Post 7726. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
