James Robert Hensdell
James Robert Hensdell age 53 of Galax, Virginia passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026 in the North Carolina Baptist Hospital.
James was born in Galax, Virginia on June 29, 1972 to James Thomas and Pamela Sue Waller Hensdell Melton. In addition to his father James Hensdell, he was preceded in death by his wife Tina Clontz Hensdell; sister Pamela Roxanne Hensdell and his grandparents.
In addition to his mother Sue Melton of Galax, Virginia he is survived by his half-sister Paula Youngblood; half-brother Charlie Hensdell; special uncle Johnny Williams; special aunt Kathleen Waller; several cousins nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM in Woodlawn Cemetery with Pastor Matthew Adams officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
