James Everett Goad age 91 of Fries, Va. passed away Monday, February 26, 2007 in Twin County Regional Hospital. He was born in Carroll County, Va. on August 14, 1915 to the late Charlie Wyatt and Ella Etta Phibbs Goad. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Nellie Jones Goad and his daughter Nancy Lavon Goad. He is survived by his sisters Zelma Anders and Elizabeth Anders both of Fries, Va.; sister & brother-in-law Helen & George R. Crouse of Sparta, N.C.; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 12 Noon in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Sam Holder officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from six until eight at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
