James Earl Franklin Weaver age 76 of Galax, Virginia passed away Monday, March 30, 2009 at Grayson Nursing & Rehab Center. Mr. Weaver was born on June 30, 1932 in Pennsylvania to Earl Franklin & Esther Landis Weaver. He is survived by his wife Ila Galyean Weaver of Galax, Va.; daughters & sons-in-law Pamela & Glenn Knoppenberger of Slatington, Pa.; Melissa & Brian Krom of New Tripoli, Pennsylvania; Mattalene Miller of Galax, Va.; sister Georgia Ann George of Hilton Head, S.C.; brother-in-law Elwood Shanton of Allentown, Pa.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Wednesday, April l, 2009 at 2:00 pm in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Bill Ring officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Home Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:30 until 2:00 pm at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
