James David Fitzgerald's Obituary
James David Fitzgerald age 91 of Fries, Virginia passed away Sunday, August 14, 2011 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.
Mr. Fitzgerald was born on March 21, 1920 in Carroll County, Virginia to James Edward and Hanora Sullivan Fitzgerald. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Alma Fitzgerald and a son Dennis Carroll Fitzgerald.
He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law Alice Marie and David W. Isom of Fries, Virginia; Debra Ann and Michael William Thomas of Keystone Heights, Florida; grandchildren and spouse Christopher Harold Rector; Allison Nicole and Jonathan Semones; brother and sister-in-law William Clarence and Wilma Fitzgerald of Galax, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 1:00 PM in the Fries Baptist Church with Rev. John Williams and Rev. Claude Holderfield officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery with Military Rites by Grayson VFW Post 7726. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Fries Baptist Church.
