James Nathan Farmer age 70 of Galax, Virginia passed away Saturday, January 20, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Farmer was born in Rock, West Virginia on May 8, 1947 to Kelly and Mary Lucille Wright Farmer.

He is survived by his wife Sonya Farmer of Galax, Virginia; daughters and sons-in-law Tinessa Garrett of Princeton, West Virginia; Gwyndalene Anderson-Spence and finace' Garry White of Galax, Virginia; Nathinia Farmer and fiance' John Stevens of Hillsville, Virginia; Roselle and Zachary Delp of Galax, Virginia; sons Mark Farmer of Sherman, Texas; Jared Anderson of Galax, Virginia; grandchildren Sarah Farmer of Sherman,Texas; Mearah Spence of Galax, Virginia; Zachary Farmer of Sherman, Texas; Matheu Spence of Galax, Virginia; Malachi Spence of Bedford, Virginia; Keyara Bugg of Princeton, West Virginia; Hunter Delp of Galax, Virginia; sister Hollis Ann Grizzell of Deatsville, Alabama.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Darry Campbell and Pastor Austin Goodwin officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:oo PM until time for the service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
