James Elisha "Jimmy" Burnett age 58 of Galax, Va. passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at Twin County Regional Hospital. He was born in Pulaski, Va. on August 14,1948 to the late Halvor & Mamie Beasley Burnett. He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law Melissa & Mike Phillips of Galax, Va.; sisters Maxie Roberts of Galax, Va. and Glenna Wheeler of Lake City, Florida; two grandchildren & several nieces & nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday, March 17, 2007 at 2:00 PM in Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Rev. Camet Spivey officiating. Burial will follow in Monta Vista Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from seven until nine at Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
