James "Mick" Edward Felts age 76 of Woodlawn, Virginia passed away Thursday December 18, 2025 at his home.

James was born on February  21, 1949 in Carroll County, Virginia to Charlie Raymond and Clara Belle Frost Felts. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Lela Ann Felts Richardson; Clara Jane Felts Hiatt and Lena Rose Felts Cole; his brothers Curtis Calvin Summey and David Carroll Felts; his father-in-law and mother-in-law Bryan and Dwade Coe Howell.

James worked at the Cotton Mill in Fries, Virginia and then at American Furniture in Marion, Virginia for many years. James enjoyed gardening and sharing his harvest with his family and friends. He also enjoyed fishing with his grandson.. James was a faithful servant of the Lord and his family. James played guitar for his church and as a pastime.

He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Charlotte Eugene Felts of Woodlawn, Virginia; son and daughter-in-law Bryan and Kim of Marion, Virginia; grandson Logan Felts of Woodlawn, Virginia; bonus grandchildren Carrie and Casey Price of Chilhowie, Virginia; Zachary and Judy Robinson of Abingdon, Virginia; Hunter Hoback of Wytheville, Virginia; Sarah and Austin Lambert of Sugar Grove, VIrginia; Blake and Mattie Robinson of Marion, Virginia; bonus great grandson Evan Price; sisters Betty Lou Felts Akers of Fries, Virginia; Virginia Kay Rutherford of Galax, Virginia;  brother Jack Summey of Fries, Virginia; special friend Terry Hudson; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Vaughan-Guynn Chapel with Pastor Jim Longest officiating. Burial will follow in the Stevens Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 PM until time for the funeral service at the Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home.
