Fort Mill - Mr. James "Jim" E. Hawks,75, passed away at Carolinas Medical Center on Sunday, February 4, 2018.

Graveside service will be Friday, February 9, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Felts Memorial City Cemetery, Galax, Virginia. The family will receive friends at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC, Thursday, February 8, 2018 from 6:00 till 8:00 PM.

Mr. Hawks was born in Galax, Virginia, was the son of Troy Washington and Zella Ruth Harriman Hawks. Jim was retired from the US Postal service with 35 years of service, veteran of the US Army, avid golfer and member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Rock Hill, SC.

Mr. Hawks is survived by his wife, Shirley W. Hawks, his step sons Michael Hubbard, (Lynn Burky) of Charlotte NC and Tony Hubbard, (Marty Anne Evans) of Rock Hill, SC; sons Cody and Mikey Hubbard; daughter Lindsey Hubbard of the home; grandson Anthony Hubbard, (Danielle) of Lancaster, SC; granddaughter Kendell Hubbard Helms, (Brad) of Waxhaw, NC; great-grandchildren Jacey Hubbard and Langston Helms; a brother Alton Hawks of Galax, VA; three sisters, Shirley H. Nichols, Carol Kay H. Bennett, (Stan) and Pat H. Criner all of Galax, VA. Jim was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Hallie H. Delp.
